Oxley Park by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners

Oxley Woods, Milton Keynes

The practice was one of the successful development partnerships in the Design for Manufacture competition launched by English Partnerships in 2005. The aim was to build high quality homes to a number of different standards including 'EcoHomes and 'Buildings for Life' at a construction cost of £60,000.

The Oxley Woods site is just over 3 hectares in size. The site will eventually accommodate 145 properties, providing a mixture of affordable housing and larger private dwellings in two-and three-storey houses. Emphasis is placed on the potential of the design to respond to changes to the lifestyle and family sizes of occupants.
