I have written to the RIBA recommending that Edward Cullinan be awarded the Gold Medal on many occasions. However, the RIBA has, so far, not seen the true merit of recognising one of the important humanists of our period.

Cullinan has contributed much to architectural polemic from the 1950s to the present day and continues to make the most outstanding range of buildings, backed by philosophical and pragmatic reasoning from a depth of thinking that is quite rare.
