When Astragal went in to see Hugh Broughton's holiday snaps, he wasn't in for a disappointment. The HalleyVI designer had just returned from a six-week trip with the British Antarctic Survey to the southern ice cap, and was keen to show off some photography.

But the process wasn't as seamless as he'd have hoped.

When using his computer to flick through various shots of icebergs and scientists in bright-red snowsuits, a picture of one of Broughton's team seemingly in flagrante with a dead seal flashed up on screen.

'Er, how did that get in there?' blundered Broughton.
