NT SECURES RED HOUSE

The National Trust has purchased Philip Webb's first commission, the 1859 Red House in London's Bexleyheath.The building was artist William Morris' first marital home.The trust had not added to its collection for 10 years until last summer, when it bought Tyntesfield House in Somerset.
