Richard MacCormac is having a busy time of it at the moment. MJP's 30th anniversary party was a splendid affair in the Wellcome Wing of the Science Museum, with a large audience and excellent refreshments. Responding to Richard's speech, Paul Finch suggested an analogy between architectural practice and tennis (it being the first day of Wimbledon). He concluded that, given the essential team operation involved in making a building, whatever the individual talents deployed, MJP's history was more Davis Cup than SW19.
