Niall McLaughlin Architects

Niall McLaughlin Architects has won the competition to design Geoffrey Chaucer Technical College, beating Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, Penoyre & Prasad, Haverstock Associates, van Heyningen and Haward, and glas architects + designers.

The school in Southwark, south London - originally designed by Chamberlin, Powell & Bon - will be extensively redeveloped to improve access with a new entrance, make it more open and legible to the public, and become a model of sustainable and environmental practice. The project also includes a new library building and landscaping to improve the external space.
