English Partnerships and the Housing Corporation have found surplus public land in the South East for at least 1,600 new affordable homes, deputy prime minister John Prescott has announced.He has appointed the Genesis Housing Group and the Bedfordshire Pilgrims Housing Association to oversee the developments.
