BUILDING Stevenage Borough Council customer service centre

ARCHITECT Stevenage Borough Council

CLIENT Stevenage Borough Council

PRODUCT Luxeon I LEDs

CHARACTERISTICS The ceiling is lit with blue and white LEDs that change colour over the course of the day to simulate the sky. Some 2,500 KlipLEDs were hidden within coffered arcs, mounted on metal strips and press-studded together to form a flexible mechanical coupling running in a channel

SPECIAL PROPERTIES The LEDs' small size and high brightness ensured lip detail needed to conceal them was kept to a minimum. Their long life ensures that maintenance is also minimised
