BUILDING St Martin's Centre for Health and Healing, Birmingham

ARCHITECT APEC Architects

CLIENT St Martin's Church

PRODUCT Pyrostop

CHARACTERISTICS The fire-resistant glass floor has been designed to protect the main access route into the centre, while allowing daylight into a basement room. A bottom layer of 23mm-deep Pyrostop is topped by two layers of 25mm-deep Optifloat, sandwiched either side of resin interlayers

SPECIAL PROPERTIES The clear, laminated, fully insulating glass provides a barrier to flames and hot gases. The interlayers foam up to provide an opaque barrier, acting as a pointer to help fire services locate the source of a fire
