Airport operator BAA is planning to advertise in the OJEC within the next month for its next series of framework agreements with architects, as its existing five-year agreements are coming to an end.

The new appointees will be responsible for the architectural elements of all BAA's construction work, estimated at a total value over 10 years of £8.1 billion, including the massive Terminal Five project at Heathrow.Mike Forster, group development and design director, said: 'We need to get good creative thinkers who can work in the way that we want to work. 'The current agreements are with seven practices, but Foster would not say how many would be selected this time.
