MJP's university scheme kicks off

MacCormac Jamieson Prichard has started on site with two new mixed-use developments for Cambridge University, the North and South Residences.

Both schemes will form part of MJP's masterplan for the extension of the university, on a 66ha site in the west of the city.The new projects - with a combined construction value of £20 million - will add two million square metres of space to the university's portfolio. The North Residence (pictured) will have four research 'wings'connected by ground level accommodation and a central nursery. The South Residence will comprise three buildings surrounding a private courtyard, with two academic blocks flanking a residential block.
