MJP's fees not to blame for uni's financial strife

Further to correspondence about the West Cambridge Development and fees, we cannot understand how your correspondent imagines that the masterplanner's fees could fundamentally affect the financing of this extensive project (AJ 23.1.03). Good architects reduce expenditure in the long term by designing for low life-cycle costs.

MacCormac Jamieson Prichard's fees now relate to occasional amendments and the development of its completed masterplan, and do not have any adverse financial impact on the project as a whole.
