Criticism in the worlds of art and architecture came in for analysis at the first of two Royal Academy discussions on the subject, with a series of interesting contributions, most notably from art savant Richard Cork. He warned the audience about the dangers of having 'an open mind'. Open it too much, he remarked, 'and your brains might fall out'.
