Art masters celebrated in silicone armchairs at Milan

Italian designer Alessandro Ciffo has created 11 different armchairs, each dedicated to a different artist

The armchairs take the name of the artist and are created out of silicone shaped by polyurethane foam, with the colours of each chair suggesting the artist it is named after.

The 11 chairs are: Jean Micheal (Basquiat), Michelangelo (Buonarroti), Willem (De Kooning), Anselm (Kiefer), Jason (Martin), Joan (Mirò), Claude (Monet), Mark (Rothko), Ettore (Sottsass), Victor (Vasarely) and finally Ale, a chair Alessandro dedicated to himself.

The armchairs are being shown in an exhibition named IPERBOLICA at the Triennale di Milano.
