Snohetta's stunning Zero unveiled for Milan

The concept for ‘Zero’ came to Snohetta on a visit to a marble quarry where a tunnel led to a large room

The Norwegian architecture firm created a 5x5 m marble hollow cube described as being a ‘structural void’. A rigid, sharp exterior is met with a soft, polished interior providing seating where you are invited to contemplate and relax.

Part of the ‘mutant architecture and design’ concept thought up by Interni Magazine, which embraces evolution and innovation in architecture , ‘Zero’ aims to be an intelliget structure, which is determined to be so by its ability to be moved.
