Met meets the need for easier access

PRODUCT IN PRACTICE ARTS AND PUBLIC BUILDINGS DORMA

With disability access in mind, each police station within the Metropolitan Police region is being fitted with automatic sliding doors at its main entrance. Operating the doors is Dorma's low-profile Compact Slide, measuring just 100mm x 100mm in cross-section. A miniature radar actuator sits unobtrusively on the fascia and can be connected to a wide range of safety sensors, ensuring that all installations comply with the relevant British Standards. For swing doors within the stations, Dorma's ED 800 accessible operators allow automatic opening, giving easier access for disabled people, the elderly and small children.
