Royde & Tucker is also bringing out a flushmounted version of its Anza bolt, designed in response to the increasing need of architects to meet the demands of Approved Document 'M', and a letterplate system that exceeds the acoustic performance required for compliance with Part E. The new Anza is flush-mounted into the leading edge of the door and is particularly suitable for installations where users may have difficulty operating lever-action type flush bolts. Tested by Sound Research Laboratories, the acoustic range of RT letterplate systems achieves the 29dB/Rw sound-reduction criteria prescribed by the Building Regulations, and exceeds the standardised benchmark test when tested in conjunction with Raven RP55 smoke seals. For 54mm-thick doors, the RT letterplate system achieves 31dB/Rw. It is available in satin or polished brass, anodised aluminium or stainless steel.
