Architects working on both large and small-scale projects are nearly always required to incorporate a masterplan into the overall scheme. It is therefore essential that architects and urban designers stay up-to-speed with all of the latest issues and developments in this field. But what does constitute good quality urban design.
Masterplanning ’08 will help to answer the question of what constitutes good quality urban design, offering insight into areas such as creating design and access statements, using design codes and working collaboratively with developers and other stakeholders. The conference will also tackle some key questions about sustainability:
How is environmental legislation affecting the masterplans of architects and urban designers?
How can we accurately quantify how sustainable a scheme actually is?
