Lots of lottery lollyfor Wales

Your recent article 'Welsh Lottery hand-out deals Zaha another slap in the face' (aj 20.11.97) incorrectly stated that only one project in Wales benefited from third-round Millennium Commission funding.

There were actually only two projects which were on the long list awaiting a decision. The Wales Millennium Centre was one of the successful projects which was awarded a grant of £27 million. However, you failed to mention a smaller, but still significant project, the Llanbedr Community Hall, which received £181,415 from the Millennium Commission.

This means that there are now 10 projects on 59 sites totalling £120 million in Wales.
