Lost causes

Stirling Prize dinners inevitably have a sour aftertaste for the architects of the schemes that didn't win.

Peter Cook and Colin Fournier were disappointed that the television clip seemed so negative about their Graz centre interior - Ted Cullinan had apparently been very impressed, but his comments didn't feature on film.

Ian Ritchie also had a slightly tough time on the film, but seemed more concerned about the table settings. 'If you're going to have kitsch glasses for red wine, why not go all the way?' Oops. Astragal thought they were for the water?
