Lose PPG 7 and we lose our place in culture
Well done AJ, keep up the battle for retaining PPG 7. If the government closes the door on all possibilities of building a country house in a landscape setting, it will destroy a traditional part of our national culture stretching back at least 600 years.
It will also destroy the language by which we talk and think about our countryside.
Without the ability to recognise ourselves within our culture we become lost. That is why all dictators first try to destroy language or make it meaningless.
This is done by mirrors, smoke, leaks and spin doctors.
