Lonely cell

Minimalism reaches the most surprising places, it seems. Martha Stewart - American domestic goddess - has fallen for the design approach of our very own John Pawson.

According to a magazine article, the UK star has been responsible for making her 'rethink chintz', with her Pawson-designed home in the Hamptons an example of her new look.

Since she is facing criminal charges over insider dealing, one can only hope the next minimal space she encounters isn't a prison cell.
