Fresh talent from the Bauhaus: Hannes Grebin

Hannes Grebin presents Cozy Furniture at the Talent Zone at this week’s London Design Festival

Having graduated from the Bauhaus University this year, Grebin will be presenting his work in Talent Zone at Tent London.

The exhibition displays the work of 10 newly graduated designers who entered their designs into a competition in August and have been hand-picked as the ‘most talented graduates of 2009, whose ideas will shape our future world’.

Grebin’s work revisits the 1970s German living room with a twist, hoping to put ‘traditional views of comfort and taste into question’.

His work is described by his supervisor as a ‘disciplined joke’, however the judges of Talent Zone clearly think that Grebin should be taken more seriously and his furniture range of the six archetypes of the living room (the armchair, the couch, the carpet, the wall unit, the ceiling lamp and the German tile table) is there for you to judge at Tent London.
