Cedric Price: pure and simple

In June 1958 a small group worked with Cedric Price's leadership on the AA Summer Exhibition. After a night without sleep we completed the display and swept the studio floors. We could barely see or breathe from the dust.

The press preview was imminent. After a quick assessment Cedric disappeared and minutes later returned with lavender polish, which he proceeded to apply generously to the backs of doors. Thus, the atmosphere was purified.
