Letter contained errors about ARB personnel

You published a letter from Ian Salisbury, headlined 'ARB conduct penalties send out wrong signal', in which he made a number of statements (AJ 13.2.03). I would like point out that any observations on a particular case should be made with caution when the person commenting is not in possession of all the facts.

The ARB's own comments on the case referred to are restricted to the information already provided.

Among other things, Mr Salisbury stated that 'the Clerk to the PCC is one and the same person as the Registrar, who also happens to be the Chief Executive Officer of ARB'. This is completely untrue.

Robin Vaughan, chief executive and registrar, ARB, London W1
