Last chance to register for AJ's free country house debate

All AJ readers are invited to 'The Great Country House Debate', a free event co-hosted by the AJ and the RIBA, which will take place on Wednesday 9 July at 6.30pm in the RIBA's Jarvis Hall.

The debate will centre on the government's plans to abolish the 'country house clause'within PPG 7. Speakers will include former Conservative minister John Gummer, who wrote the clause when he was environment secretary; Neil Sinden, director of policy at the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE); CABE deputy chair and AJ editorial director Paul Finch; and new RIBA president George Ferguson. AJ editor Isabel Allen will chair the event.
