It's not often that Astragal is moved to celebrate anything as mundane as an underoor swing-door operator. But one installed by manufacturer Tormax should help bring an end to a major source of embarrassment to the profession - or at least to the RIBA.

Installed under a swing door next to the institution's revolving entrance, the operator should help with DDA compliance without damaging the appearance of the listed building. Who knows, some day it may no longer be necessary for people with severe disabilities to enter the beacon of the profession through an embarrassing side entrance.
