Housing design in the UK is holding back recent improvements in the standards of British architecture, a new report by CABE has warned.The quango's Design Reviewed document - unveiled last week - concluded that Britain's office blocks and other commercial schemes are streets ahead of domestic newbuild.Author Dan Thomson singled out Michael Hopkins and Partners'Cattle Market project in Bury St Edmunds for praise.
