Heritage Lottery Fund has been a great help

I was interested to read the 'Lottery crisis' article (AJ 17.4.03).

It is always good to see the wonderful Peckham Library in your pages. Just for the record, the library was ineligible for Lottery funds so it was primarily funded by London Borough of Southwark, with help from the Single Regeneration Budget.

However, the Heritage Lottery Fund has been important to Southwark - more than £10 million has been directed towards our main parks.

And it is not just about infrastructure - all projects have encouraged active involvement of the community.
