HELLMAN CLAIMS HE HAS GOT FAME COVERED

LETTERS

Torsten Schmiedeknecht (AJ letters 09.02.06) might have read my review of his book An Architect's Guide to Fame a little more carefully (AJ 26.01.06).

I said Norman Foster did not 'feature'. True there are a few passing references to Foster, mainly in Stephen Bayley's snide introduction, but considering his Lordship's mega-fame, I thought he might have warranted a chapter of his own, like those devoted to the Bottas and the Rossis.

Yes, for my sins I did plough through the book from cover to cover, and to prove it I could list the inaccuracies therein. But I do not want to bore your readers further.

Louis Hellman, by email
