Head in the McClouds over Ely Cathedral

LETTERS

While I too must respond to the articulate enthusiasm of Kevin McCloud and greatly enjoyed Grand Designs, I must advise some restraint in accepting his portrayal of his past as described by Kevin Telfer (AJ 13.11.03).

Being the designer responsible for the entire interior lighting of Ely Cathedral, I take exception to Kevin claiming it.

His involvement was only to carry out, as a manufacturer, the renovation of two old gas torchieres, which now sit either side of the high altar. While his work was excellent, it does not warrant the false claim he makes.
