Haworth Tompkins Architects

Haworth Tompkins Architects has revealed plans for a neighbourhood centre in south London for Coin Street Community Builders. The centre, on Stamford Street, SE1, will form the fourth side of the practice's Iroko Housing Cooperative and is due for completion in 2005.The project will include a family and children's centre with 60-place neighbourhood nursery and facilities for out-of-school activities, and a learning and enterprise support centre that will offer training, outreach work with local residents, and support for new businesses. It will also contain a cafe and offices for Coin Street Community Builders, the Coin Street Centre Trust and Coram Family, along with a retail/restaurant unit for commercial rent.
