The London Borough of Greenwich has given approval to Sir Terry Farrell's £135 million plans for Greenwich Peninsular.

The scheme, to redevelop the Millennium Dome and regenerate the surrounding area, will create a 26,000-capacity arena and 10,000 new homes.However, London's mayor Ken Livingstone has said he would direct refusal unless the amount of affordable housing rose from 35 per cent to 50 per cent (AJ 17.4.03).
