Glasgow schools cut costs with insulation

PRODUCTS IN PRACTICE - SCHOOLS,COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES

KINGSPAN Kingspan Thermawall TW50 zero OPD, wall insulation is being used on Project 2002 - a £225 million regeneration programme to rebuild and refurbish Glasgow City Council's 28 secondary schools. The rigid urethane insulation core of Kingspan Thermawall achieves thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m.K and is faced on both sides with a low-emissivity composite foil which is highly resistant to the transmission of water vapour. The reflective surface doubles the thermal resistance of the cavity, providing a significant reduction in energy costs.
