Foyle's material series worthy of investigation

I welcome the initiative of the restoration articles on particular building materials written by Jonathan Foyle and found the one on plaster and stucco (AJ 11.11.04) interesting as usual.

I draw to readers' attention the publication of our association, Mortars Plasters and Renders in Conservation (Second Edition), written by Professor John Ashurst, which was generally well received when published in 2003.

It is available directly from ourselves from our publications officer Philip Quarry on 020 7898 1024, or alternatively it is stocked among the publication sales of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, and the RIBA Bookshops.
