Footprint have teamed up with BioRegional to offer readers three complimentary tickets to May 16 workshop in Oxford
Footprint has been offered three complimentary tickets to Tightening the belt on construction waste workshop hosted by BioRegional Development Group at Blake Lapthorn, Oxford Offices, Oxford on May 16.
Demolition, stockpiling of materials and reusing them poses a lot of challenges that were trialled at the Olympic Park. This should be an excellent workshop with a lot of detailed guidance on what works and what doesn’t.
Tightening the belt on construction waste workshop: 16 May 2012 - 7:30am - 2:30pm
“Sustainable construction expert Jonathan Essex will reveal his first-hand experience from the Olympic Park project. This talk will cover the successes and learning from:
- Taking a reclamation-led approach to demolition
- Creating a materials exchange for construction phase waste reuse
- Using carbon footprinting to drive low impact materials and venue design
This session will provide an overview of the key learning and insights into how to target Zero Carbon and Zero Waste in construction.”
This will be followed by seminars and a site visit to Oxford Wood Recycling Project.
