Fields of gold

Fieldoffice is the site of two tutors at Clemson university school of architecture, Douglas Hecker and Martha Skinner.

What's initially interesting is that although there's been a lot published about them the site index doesn't seem to have any actual work. Then you twig that the little decorative squares in a frieze under the main heading are clickable.

The resulting designs seem really interesting but the text is in a difficult to read pale grey and everything seems a washed-out. You long for the big, readable images of, say, last week's Squint/Opera . But don't get me wrong, these seem like quite nice people who do hands on stuff like concrete kitchen tops with their students and are clearly 'Ones of Us' because in their studio-workshop they sit on Eames aluminium series chairs.
