Marcel Breuer's Whitney Museum in New York will tonight (4 November) host 'a special $750-a-plate rustic dinner', courtesy of artist Ann Hamilton and chef Alice Waters, says The Art Newspaper. 'Diners will be seated at long farm tables as a herd of cows looks on from the adjacent sculpture patio. To remind diners about issues of ecology and consumption, a menu of wild mushrooms, foraged root vegetables, and nettle soufflÚ will be served. Chicken, not beef, is the main course.' Cripes!
