Smartgeometry 2011 Conference

The SmartGeometry Group is pleased to announce speakers for the two-day conference in Copenhagen on 1 and 2 April, 2011 and to open registration for the event

Speakers include: Ben van Berkel (UN Studio), Usman Haque (Haque Design + Research Studio), Billie Faircloth (KieranTimberlake, Director of Research), Craig Schwitter + Gijs Libourel (Buro Happold + Adaptive Building Initiative).

The event will come in three parts, a Workshop (28th-31st March), a public Talkshop (1 April), and a public Symposium and Reception (2 April).

Day 1. Talkshop

Will feature informal and open discussions between workshop cluster participants, leading practitioners, and emerging talents in digital design to offer inside perspectives on how the landscape of computational design is reshaping in response to the burgeoning datasphere.

Day 2. Symposium

Includes invited keynote speakers showcasing major projects around the globe that exemplify the way data informs design.

Interwoven throughout each day will be reports and highlights from each workshop cluster, giving those attending the conference the opportunity to view work created during the previous 4 days of intensive design and development from the sg2011 workshops.
