Entries are now invited for the 2006 British Construction Industry Awards, the UK's top accolades for overall excellence in building and civil engineering projects.

Awards will be made in 13 categories, including the highly prestigious Prime Minister's Better Public Building Award. The awards attract more than 200 entries representing the best buildings and civil engineering projects throughout the UK, ranging in size from very small to major. Full details and entry forms are available for download from www. bciawards. org. uk Closing date for entries is Thursday 22 April 2006.

Winning buildings last year included Bennetts Associates' Jubilee Library, Brighton; Kingsmead Primary School by White Design Associates; and Studio Downie Architects' building for the Royal Geographical Society.
