Do the locomotion

It's interesting to see that those behind Austin-Smith: Lord's National Railway Museum in Shildon have enlisted the support of Newcastle United captain, Alan Shearer, to help it do well in the Gulbenkian Prize - the largest arts prize in the UK. With his trademark natural charisma and spontaneous sincerity, Shearer opined: 'It is the area's only national museum and it has broken all expected visitor figures to further highlight its pulling power and emphasise its popularity'. The former England striker, renowned for taking the advertisers' shilling, is certainly a railway fan. 'My family and I are regular travellers on GNER's high-speed services to London, ' he said, 'and we thoroughly enjoy our trips.' Presumably regularly disgorging onto a bus at Darlington to avoid track maintenance hasn't made him change his toon.
