Disinterested approach to Exhibition Road

The article 'Big names line up for Exhibition Road' (AJ 3.7.03) is inaccurate.

Given that I am cochairing the selection panel for the Exhibition Road competition, in my capacity as chief adviser to the Mayor of London on architecture and urbanism, it would be wholly inappropriate for Richard Rogers Partnership to express interest in this project.

The panel also includes David Putnam, Julia Peyton-Jones, David Adjaye, Beth Galli, Michael Por - tillo MP and senior politicians from the Royal Bor ough of Kensington and Chelsea.

We look forward to considering a range of exciting proposals for this project, which forms one of the mayor of London's 100 public spaces.

Richard Rogers, chief adviser to the mayor on architecture and urbanism, London SE1
