RINGING THE CHANGES

A common theme in Anya Gallaccio's art is the transformation of everyday materials - the huge block of ice she installed in disused Wapping Power Station, for instance (AJ 15.2.96), which gradually melted over the course of some weeks. The invitation to her show at the Ikon Gallery, Brindleyplace, Birmingham, pictured above, gives little away, but a mixture of old and new work is promised. Continuing until 18 May. Details 0121 248 0708.

Information for inclusion should be sent to Andrew Mead at The Architects' Journal at least two weeks before publication.
