degw International has scooped a massive project for Sainsbury's - a £150 million redevelopment of its hq in London.
The project, being kept secret by the supermarket, is believed to be aimed at streamlining its London nerve centre in Blackfriars, and bringing all its staff under one roof from the current six buildings south of the Thames.
The scheme will be built by Schal, which is owned by Tarmac. The chosen site is thought to be around the store's existing Southwark Street sites.
Ian Coull, a director of Sainsbury's, said: 'We have made it news to the world for some time we are considering options for our head office facilities. Whether we build here or relocate are options that have been considered. We have made a decision and are hoping to say something in a month.'
