Costs: plumbing and drainage

Davis Langdon & Everest provides indicative costs for plumbing, above and below ground drainage and rainwater systems. Costs are based on competitively tendered projects in outer London in May 2003. Costs have risen more in the past year than many other items of work, following a substantial wage increase for plumbers in England and Wales last December of 13 per cent. In April 2003 Scottish plumbers received a basic pay increase of 7.4 per cent RAINWATER GOODS The following provides a simple comparison of installed costs, based on guttering 34m long with four external angles and two rainwater pipes 5m long:
