COMMITTEE CEMENTS ITS POSITION FOR LONDON OLYMPICS

CONCRETE QUARTERLY/ AUTUMN 05 - ROUND UP

Following the announcement that London will hold the 2012 Olympic Games, the cement and concrete sector has formed the Concrete Olympic Construction Committee. Led by The Concrete Centre, the committee will consist of representatives from all parts of the UK cement and concrete sector. It will provide a focal point and ensure a coordinated response to all challenges arising from the design and construction of the Olympic facilities.

Above all, the committee will enable the UK cement and concrete sector to play a positive role in helping to ensure the success of the 2012 games.
