Comments are insult to all would-be reformers

The ARB's Robin Vaughan should remember that Ian Salisbury was recently elected to the ARB on a reformist ticket by a convincing number of those who bothered to vote, and an insult to him is an insult to all of us who support him.

Timothy Dutton QC may well have a particular view, formed partly on the questions he was asked. Another QC would have another view, but that is not the point.

It is up to the board as a whole as to whether it seeks to widen its remit, rather than maintain the minimalist organisation originally promised.

That's why we elected Ian Salisbury and other reformists.

The board and its registrar should read 'The Professionals' Choice' (see www. building futures. org. uk), against which to judge the appropriateness of expansionist and exclusivist policies over the next 20 years.
