Come to the AJ-RIBA conference. . .

The AJ and the RIBA are holding a one-day conference, 'The Economics of Architecture', on Wednesday 18 June. The conference, which will be held at the RIBA in Portland Place, London, will bring together leading architects including Ted Cullinan, Eric Parry, Julia Barfield and Richard Murphy, along with developers, quantity surveyors and academics. . . . and forge a new career as a TV star

The day will also provide the opportunity to take part in the BBC's nationwide hunt for the next generation of TV experts.

Throughout the day, two BBC Talent Taxis - specially adapted as mobile audition booths - will be parked outside the RIBA, offering potential TV stars the opportunity to have a short, informal audition (a couple of minutes talking on camera about the subject of your choice). Register between 9am and 9.30am for an audition slot later in the day. Each of the 10 finalists will have a master tape made, to be shown to controllers and commissioners of factual programming at the BBC.One will be contracted to front a documentary on BBC 4.
