How to make an Olympic Torch
An exhibition on the making of the 2012 Olympic Torch is being held at Vitra’s showroom throughout Clerkenwell Design Week
The torch was designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby and is being carried across the UK in the 70 days leading up to the opening ceremony.
The torch is made of aluminium alloy and has been perforated with 8,000 circles, representing each of the 8,000 individuals who will take part in the Olympic Torch Relay.
