Clarification regarding Christopher Davis

letters

Regarding the article 'Architect struck off for five counts of incompetence' (AJ 20.3.03).

The AJ's Zoë Blackler did contact this office and was advised that we were not prepared to comment on the matter and that Mr Davis had formally retired from the practice on 4 March 2003, following the preparation by solicitors of a Deed of Retirement over the preceding couple of months.

The article, which referred to Mr Christopher Davis of the David R Bamford Partnership, should, therefore, have read, 'Mr Christopher Davis, formerly of the David R Bamford Partnership'.

David R Bamford, Chartered architect, Otley, Leeds
